Here is a mix I threw together that you can cop for your listening pleasure. Some highlights include: Portuguese Group Buraka Som Sistema makes an appearance with "Beef" from their album Black Diamond. A contributor to the Kuduro genre that has its roots in Angola, their music is filled with uptempo, energetic beats that'll make you wanna cut up a rug and then some. Free Blood, a experimental dance duo collaboration between John Pugh and Madeline Davy, makes an appearance with their track "Grumpy". The duo seamlessly meshes soulful melodies over some sick percussively driven beats that may remind you of Pugh's former project !!! offering a slightly different, slightly more flamboyant flavor. Brooklyn one man band Arms (Todd Goldstein of the Harlem Shakes) also appears with the title track from his album "Kids Aflame". The songs jangly ukulele combined with Goldstein's soaring vibrato makes for a solid track that represents his take on the softer pop rock, singer-songer writer genre.
