Efterklang is what you would hear if you mixed Sigur Ros and Beirut with a string quartet, and Rumraket label-mate Slaraffenland (who just happens to be featured in this video). The Danish collective whose name loosely means "reverberation" or "remembrance" produces minimal orchestral compositions that intertwine beautifully mixing eclectic instrumentation (a cardboard box, recorder, and some beer bottles are used) with an angelic choir that brings the ruckus with a melancholic yet joyous fervor. This song illustrates the collective's raw talent as they perform in a colorful urban backdrop that accentuates how each member and section of the ensemble comes together in producing some beautifully layered compositions. This rendition of Mirador remains sparse yet full with anthemic vocals that fills the spacious sound cloud never competing with each other and mixing perfectly to create an eclectic and unique Danish soundscape for your ears.
