Alright so the blog has been a little weak lately...we took a bit of a dive over the weekend, not much new shit to post..I dunno, I guess we're all a bit lazy sometime! Anyway I got a hot tip off from my girl Chrissy that we should spice thangs up with a little German!... and I don't mean Hitler or Hasselhoff footage. This 1st vid is Peter Fox..not wolf..get it? Anyway, as I understand it, he's some kind of Hip-hop, pop, rock? fusion artist whose pretttty pretty big in Deutschland. The songs pretty good if you don't mind not understanding a lick of German, but the video is bangin. Fox marches around some pretty expensive looking black and white video set, as a group of monkey-headed drummers follow him around. Apparently the man wants to reinvent his life and as the string section makes apparent, hes pretty serious about it. Peep this if you wanna be hip to some Euro-jive.
This 2nd vid is a throw back. Die Ärzte is a "punk" band, started in 82, but if you ask me they sound more post-punk than anything. The video is grainy but the tune is reminiscent of The Smiths and OMD...the jangley guitar is what got me:
