We Are The People

I know, the title for this post seems like the title of something U2 just played for the inauguration, but don't fret, it ain't even close. No, "We Are The People" is the title for the new single from Empire Of The Sun. This band was one of the first acts I reported on last year and they still seem to be making their way upwards, with their irresistibly catchy album Walking On A Dream. Much like their first single "Walking On A Dream," "We Are The People," features slick disco-esque production reminiscent of Cut Copy and some choppy stadium style guitar work (think latest Killers material). The video is like a cinematographer's wet dream, with over the top landscapes and flamboyant costumes. We find the Empire boys trekking through what looks like some Mexican desert, only to wind up in a jungle oasis, where they demonstrate they're ability create incredibly passionate hand gestures. Who knows what this clips all about, but I'm diggin it. Check it here:
