Vic Godard & Subway Sect - Split Up The Money

Look Back In Anger: Vic Godard and Subway Sect, originally just Subway Sect, were an early punk group that sprouted up (like so many others) in the wake of the Sex Pistols. For several years they bopped around the Punk scene, enduring numerous line-up shifts with Godard remaining at the helm. By 1980 Goddard restructured the group, refining the sound around an early Rock-N-Roll vibe. Chanted harmonies and jangling guitars became a hallmark of the Subway sound, as they joined compatriots like Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Clash in adjusting popular music of early 80s England.
