Sorry for the vacant space that's been lingering around here .. up until recently I was lost in a K-hole and only just came out of it! Anyway... here's a tune by a fun new group! Punky 90s pop connoisseurs Ex Cops combine the right amount of guitar flexin and glossy sexiness. This is the sort of song that could have achieved chart toppin success right along with The Cranberries, Pumkins or St Etienne.

Spoon return with a excessively catchy, strum-heavy new single. Sounding like the beginning half of Smashing Pumpkins 1979 hook, with a familiar, masterfully sharpened Spoonish melody. I feel like Spoon are sometimes overlooked simply because their name is so unassuming. Yet, they're one of the most consistently well produced, thoughtful rock-n-roll song writers in the game, today. New Pumpkins Song-Super Bowl Ad

Smashing Pumpkins debuted a snippet of one of their new songs for this Hyundai commercial you will surely be seeing a lot of (right now!) during the Super Bowl. The song has that familiar metal distortion Corgan loves and sounds more like their new stuff than their old stuff, but that chorus is pretty catchy. I'm always excited about new Pumpkin material despite their last lackluster release.
