Badlands - Sleeping Beauty

If you had to predict a song that could wind up on the soundtrack of a future Sofia Coppola film, this would at least be on a top 10 list. Badlands seem to blur the lines between dreamy, wall of sound type ballads, Jesus and Mary Chain ambiance and slowcore indie-pop, popularized by bands like Beach House. Washed with a romantic sheen, this track is packed with perfect mood-setting melodies. Light a couple candles, uncork that bottle of Chianti, and let Badlands unwind in your ear.

Beach House - Wishes

Really thought after that Phoenix video (bellow) that there would not be any other videos worth posting today, but I literally just had my gourd blown. Beach House vids are ushe rully good, but this one takes it to level 9. Numero uno: Leland Palmer is in it. Numero Dos: that's it. Leland Palmer is in it singing from a white horse while a team of acrobats bound across a football field. Feast your eyes

Memoryhouse - Walk With Me

Memoryhouse is coming back, you guys. Remember that cute, hazy Canadian couple that had that totally spaced out ep in 2010? No? Yeah, I kinda forget it too, cept for that sick vid with the 2 chicks.

Anyway, they gots a new LP droppin this year and heres a new single. Its in the same vein as their old shit...slow jam, that sort of bites on Beach House, but still keeps it real. This tune is doused in reverb, slowly building on some synty organ chords, until it hits full stride and opens up into a more fuzzed-out pop song. Reminiscent of Airiel and maybe a little bit of Twin Sister thrown in there. Listen Up and download:
