JUNIOR BOYS!

Having ferociously devoured Junior Boys discography in the last forty eight hours I would feel bad about not saying something about the Canadian sensation (as late as I may be jumping on this bandwagon). Their third studio album, Begone Dull Care came out recently on domino records and fuses disco sensibilities with darker electro beats to make a danceable record while also delving into more ambient and experimental territory. Their single "Hazel" is a prime example of the neo-disco revival that has cultivated break out artists such as hercules & love affair, cut copy, et al.

While this track is pretty danceable and fun, I haven't been able to turn off "In the Morning" off of their 2006 record So This Is Goodbye. This track is can be likened to a haunting rendition of an disco/electro cut copy song that retains its danceability while simultaneously exploring darker territory. This shit bumps hard. Oh and the vid is pretty sick too in all its hipster glory.
