Thank god Mac DeMarco's new album is nearly hear cuz literally everything else that has been gurgling up the surface has been pure crap. Mac DeMarco - Treat Her Better

Mac is back. Everyone's favourite lovable dirtbag, treats a crowd of pseudo-intellectual fashionistas, to a stripped down rendition of his latest track. Salad Days, MDM's new LP, wil be out this Spring and little titbits have begun to flake off into the web. Doubtless it will be a wonderful slew of easy going dream-pop, if Treat Her Better is any indication. Mac bends chords into his own Franken-Rock-N-Roll progression, while serenading the younglings with a cautionary tale about treating your babe with respect, bro!

Mac DeMarco - Exercising With My Demons

Amazing vid, by tape-warped rocker Mac DeMarco. This is 35mm black and white greatness. Like futuristic, zombie Hell's Angels, who love Crush soda, a group of ruffians wanders around 'somewhere in Chinatown,' mean mugging everyone and smoking cigs by the church. Demarco lays down a a chunky haze-ified guitar line that sputters across this track. Like a demented Yardbirds song, covered in verb, this jam has a strong 60s vibe, but still maintains that destinct Captured Tracks vibe. Check it:
