Mild High Club - The Chat ft Ariel Pink, Weyes Blood

Continuing his winning streak of sleepy synth lacquered collaborations, Ariel Pinks jumps on the mic for a new one from Mild High Club. The sexy velvet strum of chorus dipped guitar, with the gentle wheeze of some synth brass gives this tune a warm and carefree air. Never afraid to expound on the romantic benefits of modern technology, Ariel holds us close to his camera phone, for a truly intimate chat. Snap this one on and drift into the steamiest chatroom of your life. Farewell summer, I want to stay indoors forever now.

Soko - Lovetrap ft. Ariel Pink

Sleaze-Poppies Soko and Ariel Pink team-up for a very Arielied out ballad to true lugh-ve. Sounding a little bit like a creepier version of Love Is The Drug, Lovetrap explores the darker side of New Wave and Glam. Sometimes you can get totally wrapped up when you're in a relationship, man. Sometimes you're with some babe who just can't let you breathe man, and like all you really wanna do is go down to the arcade. Or drink a beer. Or smoke a cig in bed. You know? Anyway, Soko knows. She totally gets it. That's what this whole things really about:

Ariel Pink - Picture Me Gone (video)

Mr. Pink's latest is a Darkwave, bass-heavy, ballad; chronicling a bizarre past relationship kept hauntingly present through the omnipotent lens of modern technology. The video is fittingly off putting, with 3 women (men?) clad in rubber masks, going about their lives (smoking through their eye-holes, ice skating etc). We gain a glimpse at each woman's true desire, but what really comes of it? I guess when you think about it we're all wearing the visage of a forlorn woman. At the end of the clip one of the characters begins to pull off their mask, only to be cut off by the end of the song - does she ever actually remove the mask? Do any of us?? Picture me blond.. I mean gone..

Ariel Pink - Put Your Number In My Phone

Reaching back to the 70s, Ariel Pink's new single is a warm, lovesick ballad about meeting the right chick. Sounding like a modern day, psychedelic swirly of The Carpenters and Steely Dan, Pink hits all the right notes with this homage to carpe diem. Dig:

Part Time - My Jamey

Here's a new single from glitz-funk vendor, Part Time. Sparkly and bouncing with echoes, My Jamey is like a Human League B-side, produced by Ariel Pink. Swirl into this one and let it spin you away:

Phoenix - SOS In Bel Air (Ariel Pink Krystal Bamboo Remix)

Its a brand new Phoenix remix, courtesy Monsieur Pink! Ariel transfigures SOS from a bubbly snyth donut into a dreamefied Rock-n-Roll tune. This jam sort of reminds me of an Atlas Sound beat, or like a 60s Beach Boys-esque b-side. (This whole time I thought he had been sayin, "Crystal up in the RoooooOOooOom!") Have a lis:

Sky Ferreira ft. Ariel Pink - My Molly (video)

Here's a fun clip of Ms Ferreira covering Mr. Pink's My Molly. SF does a grunged up Hole-esque version of Pink's original jam. Both Sky and Ariel are featured in the clip, horsing around a white back-drop, dressed like the avant garde pop stallwarts they most certainly are. Check this out:

Ariel Pink featuring Jorge Elbrecht - Hang On to Life ( Official Video)

"Hey man, what's the latest?" Well, its actually this new video for that sweet new Ariel Pink and Jorge Elbrecht song, that was also directed by Elbrecht himself. Wow, really? Yes, I'm not kidding, it's actually quite good. Hmmm, oh yeah? Well what the heck's it about? About? Well...it's not really about anything lol. Oh... Yeah, see its just a lot of fun and interesting visual imagery: there's like a hazy, smokey filter thing going. And like Jorge and Ariel, and the bassist from Haunted Graffiti all hanging around in some dimly lit place, when all of the sudden we see this great big lab (as in the dog) come out of nowhere. Wait, what the? No, but listen to me! Its actually very cool! And then the dog starts shaking in slomo when the song gets really going with harmonies and everything. Wow that does sound pretty neat. It is. Well where can I check this out? Right here! Just look bellow, duh!! OHHHH, there it is, awesome!

the Samps - Plans

Former Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti member and green-slime-synth-heads, the Samps, are back with a refreshing new retro constellation. Refracted synth chord pulses dominate this track, with a fog of warm ambiance and snappy machine drums. This is the sort of instrumental you could totally zone out (or in) to, bro. Like the soundtrack to a robot's daydream, or an audio interpretation of purple steam clouds that emanate from ancient manholes in the city.

Ariel Pink & Jorge Elbrecht - Hang On To Life

Beautifully effortless new single from Ariel Pink and Jorge Elbrecht, reminds us why he's capable of blowing up the Internet with a single jam. Pink at heart, is a pop-song witch doctor; gluing human hair to a doll made of straw and soaking it in the blood of ox until poof! Its a mysterious jewel, with otherworldly properties. For this single Pink teams with Jorge Elbrecht to weave the threads of time into wondrous rhythm & blues-esque harmonies. Its not unlike Pink's collabo cover with Dam Funk of "Baby." So, without further rambling.. you've screwed the pooch, now take this:

Can't Hear My Eyes

And i can't get this jam out of my head. While tons of bands and solo acts are trying to dig up the past with retro salutes to 80s punk, ambient and disco, Ariel Pink seems to rein supreme. He has some magic touch (call it Haunted Graffiti perhaps?) that gives his tunes a real nostalgic feel. This song, "I Can't Hear My Eyes," maintains the subtle nuances of late 70s disco, with a quiet keyboard and soft snare bouncy along under Ariel's reverbed vocals. I wish I knew his recording techniques because whatever he's doin works:

And here's one of his bizarrely great videos "Kate I Wait":

UPDATE!!!
By pure coincidence I just discovered Pink has played live on P4K's ADD and he does a version of "Can't Hear My Eyes"!! So check it:
