Mild High Club - The Chat ft Ariel Pink, Weyes Blood

Continuing his winning streak of sleepy synth lacquered collaborations, Ariel Pinks jumps on the mic for a new one from Mild High Club. The sexy velvet strum of chorus dipped guitar, with the gentle wheeze of some synth brass gives this tune a warm and carefree air. Never afraid to expound on the romantic benefits of modern technology, Ariel holds us close to his camera phone, for a truly intimate chat. Snap this one on and drift into the steamiest chatroom of your life. Farewell summer, I want to stay indoors forever now.

Actors - Let It grow (video)

Canadian Nouveau Romantics, Actors unsheathe a new clip for their latest Darkwave single, Let It Grow. An intimate portrait of skin, with touches of S&M eroticism, this video is a series of intriguing images. Good looking young folk decide to dabble in whips, knives, leather and their own teeth, As we get up-close and personal with their bright white faces, and backs, and necks...lots of necks. Have a gander at this one, but careful! It verges of NSFW!!!! ..Dope song too..

dd elle - Kind 2 U

The mysteries of rural life are revealed in this new clip for Kind 2 U by dd elle. Futuristic R&B wizard, dd Elle, combines waves of synth pads, distended guitar tones, and pre-teen vocalizations for this weirdo-pop tune. Its a pretty groovy jam, with the video capturing one oddball's experience with 2 chicks in his trailer.. Check the whole thing here:

Electric Youth - Runaway (video)

Electric Youth just dropped their debut album, and this brand new single. EY are still the militant 80s pop troubadours we know them to be. Basking in thick synthetic melodies, reminiscent of Tangerine Dream, Duran Duran, and The Voyagers. Runaway is a palpitating, synth pop affair, with angel whispered vocals, pining for elopement. It's quite the tune, with a totally righteous video. Check the whole thing right here:

Robyn And Royksopp - Monument (video)

Robyn and Royksopp enter a Bjorkian realm of interstellar/molecular exploration in their latest clip for Monument. Like newborn earthlings, Robyn and co. are opening their eyes for the first time, aboard a mysterious circle of light hurtling through the universe. It's all very celestial and compliments Monument, a pulsating space-jazz constellation:

Ejecta - Eleanor Lye (video)

The latest clip from Ejecta is a reawakening of sorts, that truly bares it all. Luckily its after work hours, because this is completely unsafe material for the fragile little seconds that tick by between 9 and 5 O clock. Ejecta tinker away on a number of bouncy synths, while the full aura of womanhood opens her eyes again, for the very first time. Carefull:

Craft Spells - Breaking The Angle Against The Tide

Craft Spells home spun blend of New Wave, synth pop is expanded with a more orchestral, brooding layer of textures. Leaning slightly towards the dreamier side of things, Craft Spells keep the vox to a whisper and turn the strings to the Max-o-Pumpkins level. It's really not the sort of song that screams single, but there is something about the way this group crafts guitar parts the certainly keeps me hooked!

Phoenix - SOS In Bel Air (Ariel Pink Krystal Bamboo Remix)

Its a brand new Phoenix remix, courtesy Monsieur Pink! Ariel transfigures SOS from a bubbly snyth donut into a dreamefied Rock-n-Roll tune. This jam sort of reminds me of an Atlas Sound beat, or like a 60s Beach Boys-esque b-side. (This whole time I thought he had been sayin, "Crystal up in the RoooooOOooOom!") Have a lis:

Ejecta - It's Only Love

Unabashed synth-pop from an artist who is startling bare. Ejecta is the love child of Joel Ford and Leane Macomber. These 2 power-haus synthists have taken off their clothes and layed down some bangin pre-fab chord structures. This shit is real! Its a jungle out there!

Holy Ghost! - Okay

So much about Holy Ghost! does not work at all. They're vintage synth purists, choosing to revel in antiquated electronics over a more contemporary drum and bass sound; and while yes, many artists are living in the past these days, Holy Ghost! are fairly unique in their hifi aping of a Depeche Mode/New Order/Ministry tonality. On top of this, Alex Frankel is a criminally middle of the road vocalist, often veering out of pitch and out his element. Lyrically Frankel is equally simplistic and straight forward. Yet, despite all their disparities, I find myself fully encamped in the Holy Ghost! camp-grounds. Why? why? WHY???? Its easy to hate on a band like Holy Ghost, they sorta look like blow-holes (lets be real), but their music is dope. Okay is another outstanding single that utilises sounds from the heyday of synthetic pop to a masterful degree. The hooks here are plentiful! And the juicy, metallic, orchestra stabs are sooooooo Depeche Mode circa Some Great Reward. Earworm commin atcha:

Blouse - No Shelter

Shedding their early snyth-pop structures for a more standard 60s guitar sound, Blouse is returning with a new single. No Shelter still contains the echoing reverb that swallowed most Blouse's early material, yet now they lean more towards the sound of Nico or the c86 groups. This is a catchy tune, but really it sounds a bit like a Dum Dum Girls' B-side, with a Nirvana'd out bridge. Check it:
