Look Back In Anger: Do you ever get that feeling when you're sitting by the bay and a beautiful, dark-haired babe catches your eye that 'Gee, this about does it for me"? Yes, of course you have. We ALL have. The Ocean Blue, were dreamy late 80's post-punkers, who rattled off a string undeniably wonderful tunes that sit somewhere between Echo and the Bunnymen and The Field Mice. Between Something and Nothing is one of those vastly underheard singles that is drenched nostalgia. Its the sort of song you hear and know that you have heard before, but can never place when, or where. The clip combines all of my favorite things: Deep deep shades of blue, white canvas drapes, telecasters, bowl cuts, and worshiping at the alter of babe-dom. If you've ever put on a mock turtle-neck, looked up to the stars and wondered, will she ever be mine? This one's for you:

Moose - Regulo 7
Look Back In Anger: BritishIndieShoegaze90s group Moose, enjoyed relative obscurity throughout their brief existence. Luckily, Moose spent some time to record a few records and the results were fantastic! Regulo 7 is a beautifully produced song, with an addictively arco string section that flutters across a medley of breathy vocals and acoustic guitar. Such a dreamy tune. Brings to mind Stereolab, or The Field Mice. Really if your into 60s leaning French Folk plus the sound of psychedelic England than this could be your jam. Also check out the rest of Moose's discography, its vastly under-heard.

Statuesque - Meltdown Disney
Look Back In Anger: One of the least well known, and probably most under appreciated acts I've ever been turned onto is Statuesque. One man virtuoso, Stephen Manning, has been producing delicately intricate guitar pop since the mid 90s, yet a simple Google search yields almost nothing about him and his music. Statuesque is Manning's transcendental passage through early 80s College Rock to early 90s fuzz. Like a super combo group of The Field Mice and Starflyer 59, or something. Whether this is for you or not, the dude's riff game is on point. Don't have a cow, just meltdown Disney style w/ Statuesque.

Another Sunny Day - You Should All Be Murdered
Sometimes we like to travel back in time on this blaugh, and today's Monday installment features Another Sunny Day. ASD was an early moniker for the prolific Sarah Records twee-pop all star, Harvery Williams. Williams, was the real OG of jangling guitar, heart on sleeve, Crycore. I've always thought Another Sunny Day had more in common with The Field Mice, than the Smiths, but this song always garners a Morrissey/Marr comparison. No matter who else it sort of sound like this jam rules. Dig it:
