Panda Bear - Boys Latin (video)

Panda Bear's new single is a phasing Psych track, centred around a Dark Wave bassline and PB's recognisable harmonies. The tune has a slightly melancholic tinge to it, and therefore the video as well contains wisps of sadness, woven among its frames. Its a mesmerising animated clip, reminiscent of the colour pallet and landscapes displayed in Bjork's Wanderlust. A young man traversing the swampy in-lands of a coastal Somewhere is entranced, and then ensnared by some bewitching salt water anemone. Soon our hero is plagued by psychedelic skin lesions that only seem to lessen when he learns to accept the new sorry state of his body. There's a universal theme here that seems both otherworldly and all too familiar, and by the end all is well. Dig it:

Panda Bear - Mr Noah (video)

Here's a brand new song from the singular, Panda Bear. Mr Noah is a whirring churn of a tune. Utilizing unplaceable layers of distortion and an upbeat rhythm, Panda Bear crafts one of his most accessible songs to date. The video, like the song, has a woozy repetitious feel, constantly revisiting the same scene over and over from different angles. Its difficult to grasp what anything is really about, though for that same reason its also very pleasing. Mr Noah, y'all:

Here's a new (demo) track from the enigmatic Panda Bear. PB has a new album out this spring and literally everyone is losing their minds in anticipation of it, over here at LBFS headquarters. This track features what really sounds like a sample of Diamonds On The Souls of Her Shoes, with Mr. Lenox crooning about his apparent fondness for the sticky-icky. You may dig this one: )

The Golden Pony reminds us that sometimes all you need for a dope remix is hard ass drums and MONDO drops! Here's the first of probably a billion summer remixes that will come out of Daft Punk's new bizzaro futuristic retro disco opus. LET THE BEAT DROP!!!

New Atlas Sound

Well Bradford Cox is a busy guy. Deerhunter's Rainwater Cassette EP just came out not too long ago and its sweet. And nowww we get the heads up that a brand new Atlas Sound LP is due out this fall, titled Logos, with help from Panda Bear and the chick from Stereolab. I'm pretty psyched about this, as should you be. And whats better, some sweet new tracks are already floating round the net :P !! This first one is the one with Noah (Panda Bear) of Animal Collective, called "Walkabout." Its pretty dreamy and Beach Boyed out:
