Nic Hessler - I Feel Again

Soundtrack to a speedway, Nic Hessler's rollickin new single really spunks things up! Nic Hessler is the poppiest artist Captured Tracks has signed since Wild Nothing, yet Pop is not their only commonality. Both groups share a familiar thread of Post-Punk guitar work, that shakes their tunes with dreamy nostalgia. I Feel Again is a real strumbucker, with super groovy riffs, pepped up to get us in the mood (for Spring?). Whether your into this kind stuff or not, you cant deny Hessler's accessibility. The Snow - Memory Loss

Captured Tracks dream team, mega band (that is not Special Guest...), The Snow, release this new single that sits some where between Beach Fossils and The Cure. This is apparently a collabo from a few years back between members of Beach Fossils, Wild Nothing, and Holograms. It's a sweet tune that hopefully allows our minds to lose their recent memory of snow... :>/

Yumi Zouma - The Brae

Twinkling Dream Pop by way of New Zealand, Yumi Zouma serve up a healthy portion of Twee casserole, with The Brae. Reminiscent of early Wild Nothing, Talulah Gosh, and more recently Pure Bathing Culture, this a track that jangles with echoy guitar and balearic vocal harmonies. Are you super into bay window seat cushions? Do you have a strong affinity for all things paisley? Do vintage hairbrushes have a special place in your heart? Wild Nothing - Nowhere

Hooray, its Monday and its time for a new track from Wild No-thang! Man this dude has switched up his entire steez! Trading in his jangling guitar for a sunnier, sorta folkier, harmonica based sound. There's still a lot of reverb and this song fts the gal from Twin Sister. Check it:

Melted Toys

It snowed over the weekend. Sooo many people were into it. People were status updating things like, "Oh man, its snowing!" or "Finally, snow!" It was sort of pleasant and romantic at the same time, but seriously the next day always sucks for snow. Its mostly a city thang, but when its super slushy and you get those gross black puddles by the curb of every corner its a serious bummer. So if you're on the same page as me you're totally craving some sweet summery jimmy-jams to waft you away from the snow, here ya go.

Melted Toys, seems to be a widely ignored band. I didn't hear about them til like a week ago, but apparently they dropped an EP last year. "Come On," their first and only single is a jingle-jangling guitar popper, dripping with that fabulous 80s vibe that everybodys groovin on these days. In the same vein as Beach Fossils or Wild Nothing these dudes drown their shit in serious chorus and delay, making for a nice hazy pre-pre-Spring tune.
